Paeonia lactiflora 'Pecher' Herbaceous Peony
A lovely showy herbaceous peony with huge double blooms of pale pink and creamy white petals, some with a delicate red picotee edge.
An excellent specimen plant for the middle of a border.
Paeonia lactiflora 'Pecher' is happiest in a well-drained loamy soil that doesn't get too dry, in a sunny position or very light shade. It will grow on a clay soil as long as it doesn't get waterlogged and plenty of organic matter is added. Give it plenty of space to develop as it grows as wide as it is high. Deadhead after flowering. In early spring apply a balanced slow-release fertiliser around the base of the plant and mulch with well-rotted compost or manure. Ht 75cm
