Here is an annual that's "as pretty as a picture". There is an incessant parade of sumptuous 2cm, rich deep purple to black flowers with - the master touch - a scalloped silvery-white edge. It has truly ground hugging habit (not unlike annual alyssum) that will provide ground cover and contrast for all containers, hanging baskets, and it makes a tidy edging plant.
