A very popular perennial, producing robust plants with masses of wiry stems topped by attractive clouds of eye-catching, rosy lavender blooms. Ideal interplanted amongst other perennials, adding height and a tranquil feel to borders.
Sowing Info
Sow seed onto the surface of a good, free-draining, damp seed compost. Apply a very fine sprinkling of dry vermiculite. Place in a propagator or seal container in a polythene bag at a temperature of 24-27°C (75-80°F) until after germination which takes 14-21 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep compost on the dry side then water lightly as seedlings emerge.
Growing Info
Transplant, when large enough to handle into 7.5cm (3in) pots. Gradually acclimatise plants to cooler conditions for a few weeks before planting out after all risk of frost, 45-60cm (18-24in) apart.

smaller than expected but showing growth already
I was surprised at how small these were when then arrived but I planted them all the same and have been watering them regularly. This morning I could see fresh shoots and leaves peeping up. Having never grown these before I wasn't sure what to expect, but they are looking promising.

Fantastic plants
I am thrilled with these plants, they are very sturdy and healthy. Hoping they add colour to my cottage garden bed.
