The Fawn is an amazing combination - one of our best cut flowers and one of our top garden plants. The flower form is a densely-petaled, perfectly-formed double with substance.  The Fawn’s stems are incredibly strong and the flowers do not flop even in extreme weather conditions.  The Fawn is an extremely vigorous grower.  Peony 'The Fawn' is a Midseason double Pink Peony Lactiflora, double pink, an extremely well-shaped, large double with nary a petal out of place. All decked out in mid pink and flecked with little pin dots of a deeper shade of pink quite unusual.

Peonies are amazingly long-term-lived plants staying around  more than 50 years,  these plants will reward you for years to come producing exceptional flowers every season . Peonies prefer to be planted in a sunny spot with a well-drained soil. A good quality air flow circulation available around the plant is also very important . Peonies are very trouble free , but remember to choose a good spot where they can be happy for 50 years.  Prepare a planting hole designed for a bareroot peony, dig the ground to the level around 12-18inches. Best in deep, fertile, humus-rich soil that is moist but well-drained in a sheltered position in full sun or partial shade Long-lived but resents disturbance. Make use of a garden fork to release the edges of the planting hole at the same time. It is really essential that the "eyes", or growth nodes, situated near the base of the old stem, end up no greater than 6 cms inches below the ground surface.
