An attractive addition to bouquets. Orlaya makes an easy to grow, quick border filler with decorative snow-white lacy blooms produced all summer long. Perfect for cutting.
Sowing Info
Sow seed March to May on the surface of lightly firmed, moist seed compost in pots or trays and cover with a very light sprinkling of compost or vermiculite. Seal container inside a polythene bag and keep at a temperature of between 15-20°C (59-68°F). After sowing, do not exclude light as this helps germination. Keep the surface of the compost moist but not waterlogged; germination usually takes 21 to 30 days. Can also be sown outdoors direct into the soil during late summer/early autumn to produce earlier blooms the following year.
Growing Info
When large enough to handle, transplant seedlings into 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays. Plant out once plants are well grown, 30cm (12in) apart.
