An indispensable cottage garden annual for the back of the border that also makes a long-lasting cut flower. Delphinium consolida 'Fancy Belladonna' bears tall, elegant spires of pale lilac flowers with white centres. A showy flower but with a delightful airiness compared to the soldier-stiff habit of perennial delphiniums. Keep deadheading to encourage the production of flowering side shoots. The dried petals can be used as confetti.
