A cottage garden classic. This beautiful poppy has splendid fully double, pompom blooms in fabulous lilac and violet shades, adding height and interest to borders.

Sowing Info

Sow seed where they are to flower. Before sowing, prepare the ground well by raking until the soil is fine and crumbly and remove any large stones. Sow the seed 3mm (1⁄8in) deep, in rows 30cm (12in) apart, or scatter seed in beds or borders as a gap filler.

Growing Info

Thin out the plants when the seedlings are large enough to handle, to about 15cm (6in) apart.

Aftercare Info

Caution: All poppies are poisonous. However, the SEEDS produced by this specific variety can be eaten. Typically used in bakery recipes.
