Sturdy and long lived plants, with huge flowers 10-12cm (4-5in) across of a wonderful blue, shot with violet on strong erect stems.

Sowing Info

Sow seed into pots on the surface of the compost. Do not cover seed. Place pots in a propagator or seal inside a polythene bag for 2-3 weeks at 13-15C (55-60F), then 2 weeks in the refrigerator, then a further 2 weeks in the heated propagator or polythene bag.

Growing Info

Transplant seedlings into pots when large enough to handle, over winter in a cold greenhouse or frame. Plant out following spring 30cm apart (12in) in groups of 3-5 plants to create the best border feature.
