This highly decorative French Bean makes a fabulous talking point in the vegetable garden, or even in your flower borders. The unusual marbled pods are particularly early to mature in July and continue to set pods throughout the summer.
Sowing Info
Sow seeds at a depth of 4cm (1½in) in 7.5cm (3in) pots or trays of free-draining, seed sowing compost. Place in a propagator or seal container inside a polythene bag at a temperature of 18-21°C (65-70°F) until germination, which takes 7-10 days. Do not exclude light as this helps germination. Once germinated, grow on in cooler conditions until all risk of frost has passed and the plants are large enough to be transplanted. Gradually acclimatise them to outdoor conditions for a few days before planting outdoors in rich fertile, well drained soil in full sun with protection from strong winds.

I am very disappointed in these beans. only two germinated and I sowed them at the same time as the Borlotto bean and the french beans and they all germinated .
