A mix of deep red and green baby pointed cabbage for autumn/winter cutting. Each has a mild, sweet taste, ideally suited for shredding raw for autumn and winter salads, or used as a cooked vegetable.
Sowing Info
Sow in individual pots or a seed tray of good seed compost and cover with 6mm (¼in) of compost or vermiculite. Maintain at temperature of 15°C (60°F) until germination which takes around 5-7 days. Alternatively, sow thinly in a prepared seedbed 13mm (½in) deep.
Growing Info
Transplant when large enough to handle into larger pots, or transplant from the seedbed around 5 weeks from sowing into prepared, firm soil, allowing 50cm (20in) between plants in each direction. Plant firmly to obtain the best quality heads. Water until established.
